Voice Care Tips

Here are some simple tips for taking care of your voice:

  1. Drink lots of water

  2. Warm up your voice before speaking

  3. Use proper breath support

  4. Avoid caffeine and alcohol before speaking events

  5. Don’t smoke

  6. Don’t scream or shout

  7. Avoid speaking in loud places before speaking events

  8. Use a microphone if you need to project your voice

  9. Rest your voice if you have laryngitis

  10. Get evaluated by an Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat physician) who specializes in speakers when you have persistent problems with your voice
